Privacy Policy

Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Circelo collects, uses, stores, and shares personal information in connection with our iOS app and related services. Circelo helps people track shared expenses and know who owes who.

Information we collect

When you sign in, Circelo receives basic account information from the provider you choose:

• Sign in with Apple: your name and email address when you choose to share them, and a unique Apple account identifier. If you use Hide My Email, Apple provides a private relay address instead of your personal email.
• Sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile photo, and a unique Google account identifier. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other Google service content.

Authentication is handled through Firebase Authentication. We store the account details needed to keep you signed in and identify your Circelo account.

How we use your information

We use this information only to create and identify your Circelo account, sign you in, maintain your session, and display your basic account details in the app.

Storage and retention

We store only the information needed to maintain your Circelo account. We retain it while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary to operate Circelo or meet legal obligations. When your Circelo account is deleted, we delete the associated account profile information unless retention is required by law.

Sharing

We do not sell personal information or use account data for advertising. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate Circelo—including Apple, Google, and Firebase—and that are required to handle it on our behalf, or disclosed when required by law.

Your choices

You can sign out of Circelo at any time in the app. You can also manage or revoke Circelo’s access from your Apple Account or Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future sign-in through that provider, but it does not automatically delete your Circelo account.

Google API data policy

Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our data practices change. The latest revision date will always appear at the top of this page.
